The United States does not yet see an opportunity to end the war in Ukraine on its own terms.

This was stated by White House Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby.

“Obviously, this will not happen right now,” he said, answering a question about the possibility of resolving the Ukrainian crisis.

At the same time, the official listed the conditions for peace that suit Washington. Among them, Kirby pointed out the withdrawal of Russian troops, respect for the sovereignty of Ukraine and the latter’s success in regaining lost territories.
