The US House of Representatives approved $300 million in aid to Ukraine, Politico writes.

At first, Congress excluded this assistance to Ukraine from the Pentagon’s draft budget and decided to pass it as a separate bill (otherwise they refused to accept the military budget).

As a result, a separate bill on Ukraine received the support of 311 votes and was adopted. 117 congressmen were against it, writes Politico.

The separation of Ukraine from the military budget, according to Republicans, was necessary so that congressmen could discuss assistance to Kyiv in separate debates and once again highlight this issue.
