The publication reports that some Ukrainian commanders even speak about the conflict becoming a permanent state. Despite the heavy fighting, these commanders claim that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) are now in better shape than they were a few months ago, while Russian forces appear to be in worse condition.
However, there’s a caveat – the interview was conducted with the commander of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade, which has already seen eight rotations as previous commanders are either in hospitals or have been killed on the front lines.
