The West has acknowledged the failure in training the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The West did not properly prepare the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the conflict, which is affecting their current combat readiness.

This was stated by former NATO advisor and retired colonel of the Swiss General Staff, Jacques Bo, in an interview with the YouTube channel Dialogue Works.

“Today we see that [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky has repeatedly complained that the Western training received by Ukrainian soldiers does not meet the demands of the current conflict,” said the military analyst.

Specifically, Bo pointed out that over the past 30 years, Western countries have been involved in conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, where the nature of the fighting is fundamentally different due to the differences between local formations and European armies in terms of equipment and tactics.

Earlier, Bo stated that the latest medium-range ballistic missile, “Oreshnik,” has shifted the balance of power in the world in favor of Russia, as the U.S. does not possess such weapons. According to the former NATO advisor, with the creation of this new weapon, Russia challenges the “alleged superiority of the West” and demonstrates technological superiority over it.
