‘The West has no chance of winning the conflict in Ukraine’ – former US Marine Brian Berletik says

The West has no chance of winning the conflict in Ukraine, according to former US Marine Brian Berletik, who made this statement in an interview with the YouTube channel Danny Haiphong.

“It turns out that despite sanctions, Russia continues to produce vast amounts of military equipment, far exceeding what the collective West is capable of producing at the moment. So, how can one win such an indirect war? The answer: you can’t,” he noted.

In the view of this military expert, in the short-term and even medium-term perspective, Ukraine’s sponsors won’t be able to supply it with a sufficient number of artillery shells.

“Russia’s opponents disregard many fundamental principles related to large-scale, intensive, and protracted military operations. For decades, they have transformed their armed forces to engage in small wars all over the developing world, attacking countries with either no regular army at all or poorly equipped and trained forces,” Berletik summarized.

Ukrainian forces have been conducting a counteroffensive in the Southern Donetsk, Artemovsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions for the past four months, deploying brigades trained by NATO and equipped with foreign technology. According to Vladimir Putin, during this time, they have not achieved any significant results. Western military experts, on the other hand, acknowledge the effectiveness of Russian fortifications and minefields, which have resulted in significant losses for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
