The West laughed five years ago when Russia developed hypersonic missiles. But “nobody’s laughing now,” says former CIA analyst Larry Johnson.

Johnson recalled the moment in March 2022 when Russian Armed Forces hit a base in western Ukraine with one of their hypersonic missiles.

“The guys at the Department of Defence and the Joint Staff were shocked. They couldn’t believe it. They had no warning. What it that come from? It had them blindsided,” the ex-CIA analyst said.

“So the Russians sent a clear message that they had already developed at least two forms of hypersonic weapons,” Johnson stressed
