The White House criticized the House of Representatives for going on vacation without voting on Ukraine

President Biden emphasized that failing to support Ukraine during this critical time would not be overlooked.

The White House representative accused Speaker Johnson of fleeing responsibilities, alleging that the House’s decision to recess was undeserved and premature. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives countered by pointing out that President Biden himself took an extended vacation during his tenure and had yet to find time to meet with Speaker Johnson after the Senate passed the “Ukrainian” bill.

The House of Representatives adjourned until February 28, initiating the budget process, and only afterward, possibly in the first week of March, would they reconsider providing assistance to Ukraine. Earlier, Republicans had insisted on addressing issues related to American border security and illegal immigration before supporting Ukraine.
