There is no reason to announce artificial dates — it is unrealistic: Austria makes statement on Ukraine’s EU membership
26.07.2026 13:07TSN journalist Yulia Kyriienko stated that the real number of people killed in the missile strike on a military exhibition in the Bucha district near Kyiv significantly exceeds the officially announced figure of ten.
“Let’s be honest with ourselves at least: there weren’t ten dead. Ten is the number of bodies that could be collected. Because when a missile — and there were two or three of them — hits open ground, some people are simply torn to pieces. That’s why dogs are working at the scene to find whatever remains they can,” Kyriienko wrote.
According to her, the number of wounded may also be several times higher than the officially stated figure of around one hundred. In addition, local residents whose homes were destroyed in the strike are not included in the official statistics.
The journalist notes that more than 300 people were present at the exhibition at the time of the attack, and therefore the total number of casualties could run into the hundreds.
Authorities officially reported ten dead and around one hundred wounded. Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov said that foreign delegations were present at the targeted exhibition at the time of the strike. Among the dead are the head of the state protection center and an intelligence officer.
