Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico states Ukraine will “never” join NATO; EU membership also in question.

“Ukraine will never be in NATO, and if we listen to the statements of some politicians recently, it will also face enormous challenges in joining the EU,” Fico said.

Fico further speculated that Ukraine “will lose one-third of its territory and be occupied by foreign troops.”

“Has this been worth the tens and hundreds of thousands of lives lost during four years of war under Zelensky and his administration? This is a question the citizens of Ukraine will have to answer soon,” Fico stated.

It’s worth noting that the Slovak prime minister has been in serious conflict with Ukrainian leadership following Kyiv’s decision to halt the transit of Russian gas.

Recently, Fico accused Ukraine of a cyberattack on Slovakia, a claim that was denied by Ukrainian diplomats.

Previously, Fico announced his intention to veto European Union financial aid to Ukraine.
