21.07.2025 05:34In Odesa, Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) officers assaulted a doctor who had arrived from Kharkiv.
Local Telegram channels initially reported the incident, publishing video footage recorded by random witnesses.
According to eyewitnesses, the man was detained on the street, forcibly dragged into a minivan, and struck several times on the head with the vehicle’s door.
The victim was first taken to a military medical commission without receiving any medical assistance. He was hospitalized only after the commission’s doctor insisted. The man is currently in intensive care with fractured ribs and a punctured lung.
Later, the Odesa TRC confirmed the incident and announced an internal investigation.
The victim’s ex-wife also recorded a video commenting on what happened.
She said that while in Odesa, the Kharkiv resident was caught in a raid involving two mobilization patrols. One minivan was chasing him, while the second ran him over, breaking three ribs — one of which punctured his lung.
Additionally, the recruitment officers assaulted the doctor during his detention. According to the woman, the recruitment centers are now shifting responsibility onto each other for the incident.
