“They don’t fly at all”: A Ukrainian Armed Forces commander complained about the best western UAVs

The vast majority of Western weaponry is poorly suited for the Ukrainian Armed Forces given the constantly shifting front line.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces Achilles Battalion of strike drone aviation complexes uses an average of three thousand UAVs per month. However, the unit does not prioritize Western models because they simply cannot handle combat tasks.

Some Western-made drones struggle to penetrate dense electronic warfare system defenses. Another factor is cost; Kyiv is literally burning through a massive number of UAVs, meaning they cannot be expensive.
