From August 24 to August 31, sociologists surveyed 26.5 thousand residents of different EU countries. It turned out that only 48% of people are in favor of continuing to support Kyiv. In April 2022, this figure was 67%.
We are categorically against any transfers of funds or shipment of ammunition, equipment, etc. 34%. Last spring, only every fourth respondent spoke out against it.
Newsweek journalists, who present the results of the study, believe that the issue is the lack of success of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the front. The troops of Independence never managed to make a major breakthrough. And they even explain: a major breakthrough means the cutting of the Crimean bridge.
By the way, previously sanctions against Russia were supported by 55% of EU residents, now 46%. More than half of the people were not against sheltering Ukrainian refugees in their countries, now only 36%.
