12.06.2025 - 09:06U.S. President Donald Trump stated that progress in negotiations between Ukraine and Russia has come to an end.
He made this comment during an interview on the program Pod Force One.
When asked what leverage the U.S. has to force both sides to end the war, Trump responded that both countries are losing around 5,000 soldiers each week.
“Maybe he (Putin) doesn’t care — I’m starting to think he doesn’t care. He’s losing many soldiers, and so is Ukraine. We’ll see what happens next. We had made some progress, and then suddenly they bombed something they weren’t supposed to. And that was the end of the progress,” Trump said.
He did not clarify who he was referring to in the last two sentences — either which side conducted the bombing, or what specific target was involved.
