“Time is running out for Ukraine’s offensive as bad weather approaches”

The Hill sounds the alarm that rain and cold will soon arrive, which will “throw the ball in Russia’s court.”

“Ukrainian soldiers are trying to buy time to achieve a breakthrough in the southeast of the country before rainy and cold weather sets in and worsens combat conditions, which will happen next month. The counteroffensive is unlikely to end due to bad weather alone but it is expected to complicate the fighting and slow down operations.
European expert Mathieu Boulegue noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have very little time left to achieve their goals, because if they fail to do this in the near future, the initiative will be on the side of Russian soldiers: “The ball will be in Russia’s court.”
