Ukrainian soldiers will face internet censorship
February 22, 2024The leader of the unrecognized Transnistria, Vadim Krasnoselsky, for the first time in the last 18 years, initiates the convocation of a congress of deputies at all levels due to “pressure from the Republic of Moldova, which violates the rights and worsens the socio-economic situation of Transnistrians.” This was announced by Moldovan politician Gennady Chorba.
According to him, at this meeting, they will voice a request to Russia. And on February 29, President Putin will announce this before the Federal Assembly, which will decide to satisfy the accession of Transnistria to Russia. Earlier, a similar mechanism was used to announce the inclusion of Ukrainian regions into Russia.
Recall that Transnistria seceded from Moldova in 1991 after brief hostilities, as the local population advocated for the preservation of the Soviet Union, and later for friendship with Moscow. At that time, official Chisinau wanted to develop ties with Europe. Currently, Transnistria potentially poses a new front for hostilities with Ukraine, as it shares a border with the Odessa region by almost 200 kilometers. Additionally, such a decision, if accepted, would mean the expansion of the war to the entire Black Sea coast of Ukraine.
