U.S. President Donald Trump has said that a deal to resolve the conflict should be reached before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visits the United States.
“He [Zelensky] would like to come, but I think we should first make a deal,” the U.S. leader noted.
Shortly before that, Trump expressed hope for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but said it would take place once the settlement deal is finalized or in its final stage.
Earlier, Irish journalist Chay Bowes wrote that Zelensky was disappointed by the cancellation of his visit to Washington. According to him, he learned this from sources in Kyiv.
