The head of the White House said this during a meeting with Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
“This is a terrible war. It is worse than everything since the Second World War. You look at the people being killed. This is Russia and Ukraine. I think we will do this too. There are many reasons for them to do this. And I think they will soon come to the negotiating table,” said the U.S. president.
In addition, Trump expressed the opinion that Spain, “frankly, perhaps needs to be thrown out of NATO” for its low level of military spending.
Earlier, Trump explained why he wants to conclude a peace deal without a ceasefire in Ukraine.
