Former U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the “foolishness” of his successor, Democrat Joe Biden, has led to the increase in global energy prices, which, in turn, he claims, has triggered the war between Russia and Ukraine.
“Biden complains, but he is the one who provoked the rise in energy prices, and therefore, the war in Ukraine, with his own foolishness,” Trump said while addressing his supporters in the state of Iowa.
Trump promptly reassured that under his leadership, such a situation “would not have happened even with the highest oil prices.”
The former U.S. president did not miss the opportunity to once again label Biden as “the most corrupt and overall worst” of American presidents. According to Trump, his successor displays “deep incompetence” when discussing issues publicly.
“Biden talks about war while contributing to the rise in energy prices, whereas the entire economy of Russian President Vladimir Putin is based on energy,” Trump asserts.
