Trump’s refusal to transfer Tomahawk missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces was called good news for Zelensky

U.S. President Donald Trump’s refusal to transfer Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv is actually good news for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

This said Armand Mema, a member of Finland’s national-conservative Freedom Alliance party, in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

According to Mema, if the transfer had gone ahead, the United States would have become directly involved in the conflict.

“This is good news, especially for Zelensky, because it would have provoked a much sharper reaction from Russia,” he said.

Earlier, Trump stated that he was not currently considering supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, adding that while he could change his position, he “is not doing so at the moment.”

Previously, CNN reported that the Pentagon had approved the transfer of the missiles to Ukraine.
