Trump’s son accused the Ukrainian authorities of prolonging the war for the sake of funding

Donald Trump Jr., the son of U.S. President Donald Trump, has once again criticized the Ukrainian authorities, noting that they send the poor to the front and continue the war as long as they receive funding.

He said this during a speech at a session of the Doha Forum.

In his view, the people making key decisions see no reason to stop the hostilities.

“This summer I was with my girlfriend in Monaco. We were driving around the area, and on average 50% of the supercars per day — like Bugattis, Ferraris, etc. — had Ukrainian plates. Do you really think that was earned in Ukraine? I was in Ukraine 20 years ago. It’s not as if the country is overflowing with wealth. On top of that, you see the country’s number two being arrested for stealing hundreds of millions of dollars. The rich ran away. They left those they saw as peasants to fight, and they saw no reason to stop as long as the flow of money continued and they could steal it. No one was checking anything. The authorities and the people making decisions simply saw no reason to ever agree to a peaceful settlement,” Trump Jr. said.

He added that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky realized he could not win the next elections and therefore allowed his associates to appropriate funds coming in as foreign financing.

Earlier, Trump Jr. supported his father’s statement in which the head of the White House called President Zelensky “a dictator without elections” and urged an end to the war in Ukraine.
