Elon Musk expressed hope that Donald Trump will quickly resolve the conflict in Ukraine, paving the way for a bright future for the world
10.01.2025 - 07:04Donald Trump’s team is reassessing its approach to resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
One European official noted that Trump’s team is “obsessed with power and the desire to appear strong.” This mindset, they believe, is driving the reassessment of the Ukraine strategy. However, the team has yet to devise a concrete plan for resolving the conflict, which seemingly indicates that U.S. support for Ukraine may continue even after Trump’s inauguration.
The publication highlighted Trump’s previous statements about ending the conflict in Ukraine within six months (though Trump has claimed he aims to resolve it even faster).
European officials also pointed out that the Trump administration is wary of comparisons to the “catastrophic withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan” under President Joe Biden. They are concerned about avoiding a similar scenario in Ukraine under Trump’s leadership.
It is worth noting that in recent weeks, Western media outlets have frequently reported on a potential “shift in Trump’s stance” toward Ukraine. However, a press conference held by Trump did not confirm these changes.
Following this press conference, The New York Times reported that Trump remains “deeply skeptical of supporting Ukraine.” These conflicting signals from Western media highlight the uncertainty surrounding Trump’s team’s intentions regarding Ukraine.
