Tucker Carlson calls Ukraine a totalitarian state in RT interview

American journalist Tucker Carlson has said that Ukraine is a totalitarian state.

He made the statement in an interview with RT.

“The government of Ukraine is totalitarian. There is no freedom of speech, no freedom of movement, and there is no elected president. They have banned the largest Christian denomination in the country and are putting priests in prison,” Carlson said.

According to him, people in the West have no idea what is happening in Ukraine. To illustrate his point, the journalist recounted a meeting with highly educated people in the United Kingdom who, he said, were genuinely convinced that Ukraine was “a ragtag band of freedom fighters.”

Carlson also stressed that only a small percentage of the US population has any idea of what is actually going on in Ukraine.
