Two performances at the Youth Theater of Chernihiv were canceled after the mobilization of actors

In Chernihiv, two performances by the Youth Theater were canceled due to the mobilization of the actors.

This announcement was made on the theater’s Instagram page.

The performances were scheduled for today and tomorrow.

“On May 17 and 18, the performances of ‘Enchanted Desna’ and ‘The Good Soldier Švejk’ are canceled due to the mobilization of the actors! All tickets remain valid for other shows in the current repertoire,” the announcement stated.

Previously, it was reported that employees of the unified news telethon, circuses, and other informational and cultural institutions received exemptions from military service.

Following public outrage, the general director of the State Enterprise “Directorate of Mobile Circus Groups of Ukraine” explained that it was impractical to draft circus performers into the army since “they have never held a gun.”
