08.04.2025 - 05:03Victoria Spartz, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives of Ukrainian origin, has called for “giving land to Russia” to end the war and urged Ukrainians not to vote for President Volodymyr Zelensky in upcoming elections.
The congresswoman made these statements in an interview with The Telegraph.
“I’m the only member of Congress born in Ukraine — that’s why we should give land to Russia,” reads a quote from her interview featured in The Telegraph’s headline.
“I just don’t understand how they [Ukraine] can be in a position to demand the preservation of land. If they had won the war, that would be a completely different matter,” Spartz said.
In her view, “there are no easy solutions,” and wars should be ended “as quickly as possible.”
“If it takes too long, it usually doesn’t end well for democracies,” she added.
Spartz also sharply criticized President Zelensky for his behavior at the White House.
“After his infamous argument with Trump in the Oval Office, Ms. Spartz accused Mr. Zelensky of doing a ‘disservice to the Ukrainian people’ and ‘insulting the American president,’” the article says.
According to the publication, Spartz “despises” Zelensky.
“They’ll have elections, and if Ukrainians choose him [Zelensky] again, they will lose the rest of the country,” the congresswoman stated.
Spartz supports Donald Trump’s decision to negotiate with Vladimir Putin, although she acknowledges that “the Russian president can never be trusted.”
Previously, Spartz had stated that for Ukraine to win the war, it must fully mobilize the entire country.
