22.08.2025 08:01The United States has classified intelligence on Ukraine negotiations, withholding it from London and other allies.
This was reported by CBS News, citing sources.
On July 20, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard issued a directive to intelligence officers ordering that all information regarding Russian-Ukrainian negotiations must not be shared with U.S. partners.
In particular, this information cannot be shared with the so-called “Five Eyes” — the intelligence alliance comprising the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
The directive classifies all data on negotiations as NOFORN (“no foreign dissemination”). The memorandum also restricts distribution of such material within U.S. agencies that collect intelligence. It is specified that this does not apply to diplomatic information — only intelligence.
It should be recalled that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently held talks with national security advisers from Ukraine and European countries. The parties discussed security guarantees for Ukraine.
