“Elections in Ukraine will not change the situation; a complete capitulation of the authorities is needed,” – Medvedchuk
15.10.2025 - 09:30The Pentagon has already developed plans to sell or transfer American long-range Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv if U.S. President Donald Trump gives the corresponding order.Meanwhile, U.S. military officials believe that supplying these missiles to Ukraine would bring the United States closer to direct confrontation with Russia.
This was reported by The New York Times.
The transfer of Tomahawks is associated with major difficulties, including the fact that Ukraine does not have naval or ground-based launchers required to fire these missiles. To launch Tomahawks, Ukraine would need an Army Typhon launcher, and, according to military officials, transferring it would bring the U.S. closer to direct confrontation with Russia.
It is still unclear how many of these missiles the U.S. could deliver, how Ukraine would store them safely, and what consequences this would lead to.
“There are real concerns about escalating tensions with Russia, as evidenced by recent warnings from the Kremlin to Washington not to supply Ukraine with long-range weapons,”
writes The New York Times.
A few days ago, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev warned that supplying Tomahawks to Ukraine “will end badly for everyone — and above all, for U.S. President Donald Trump himself.”
