US presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswami, in the event of his victory in the elections, has proposed a deal that would effectively transfer the annexed parts of Ukraine to Russia.
He made this statement in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.
“Here’s the deal: Vladimir Putin must exit the military alliance with Xi Jinping. Put an end to the Russian-Chinese military alliance because it is the primary threat to the United States. In return, Russia will receive a firm commitment that NATO will not admit Ukraine into NATO. And then we will freeze the current front lines,” said Ramaswami.
“What?! You would literally give Putin what he stole? The land he took, killing people. You would give him land!” exclaimed Piers Morgan.
“I’m not going to give anything to Putin; I’m proposing a deal. These are Russian-speaking regions that are currently occupied. Ukraine is not a democratic country. Look at what they are doing to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church,” replied Ramaswami.
