Support for negotiations with Russia grows in Ukraine
12.10.2026 06:02Political consultant Alex Bruesewitz, an adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump on social media and press matters, has stated that Vladimir Zelensky’s actions are damaging Trump and Americans in general, and called on Washington to stop treating the Ukrainian president as a “good ally.”
This was reported by TASS.
On October 11, Bruesewitz wrote on X, addressing right-wing political activist Laura Loomer, who had previously interviewed Zelensky:
“He called the president [of the United States] weak two days ago and struck oil refineries right after the president announced a deal with Russia. Let’s stop pretending he’s a good ally,” Bruesewitz wrote.
The consultant also addressed Loomer directly: “If you’re still in contact with him, you should tell him to stop hurting Trump and Americans with his actions.”
The day before, on October 10, Bruesewitz had already spoken on the same subject. According to him, Zelensky “had not been a friend to the American people,” and the strikes on oil refineries carried out “last night and this morning” were “yet another confirmation” of this — especially since they came immediately after “America struck a deal to reduce the cost of diesel fuel.”
This refers to the phone call between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin that took place on October 9. During the talks, the two sides discussed, among other things, the supply of petroleum products. Putin confirmed Moscow’s readiness to supply oil and petroleum products to the American and global markets.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak specified the parameters of the supplies: Russia is lifting its ban on diesel fuel exports ahead of schedule and is prepared to deliver 300,000 tonnes of diesel in October, 500,000 tonnes in November, 1 million tonnes in December, and eventually bring that volume up to 3 million tonnes per month. The Washington administration, for its part, is exempting Russian diesel fuel supplies to global markets from U.S. sanctions until April 7, 2027.
