Ukraine announced its readiness for a complete ceasefire

Ukraine is ready for a complete ceasefire and direct negotiations at the highest level.

This information stated the country’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, according to Reuters.

“Today we arrived in Istanbul to seek real paths toward a sustainable and just peace. Peace is only possible if Russia demonstrates willingness through concrete actions,” he said.

Earlier, the Russian delegation departed for talks with Ukraine in Istanbul.

Prior to that, reports emerged of growing panic within Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Office, due to the uncertainty surrounding the terms of the negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv in Istanbul.

Der Spiegel noted that U.S. policy, which differs from Europe’s diplomatic approach and allows for possible concessions to Russia, has become a source of tension in Kyiv.
