“If we were to gather all the world’s manufacturing capacity for weapons and ammunition, it would not be enough for this war,” he said.
The minister is urging the West to increase production volumes, including closer to the front lines. He believes that the ongoing conflict in Israel only underscores such a need.
“The free world must produce enough to protect itself. That’s why we need to produce more and higher-quality weapons to stay safe,” Kamyshin told weapon manufacturers in Berlin, attempting to persuade them to invest in Ukraine.

The publication notes that Ukraine may need up to 1.5 million projectiles annually to sustain its military efforts. The West promises to provide one million next year. Kamyshin hopes that Ukraine will be able to at least partially cover the remaining demand through domestic production.
“This war could last for decades. The Russians can always come back,” he said.
