24.04.2025 09:55Ukrainian officials in Kyiv do not rule out the possibility that U.S. President Donald Trump could cut off military aid to Ukraine following the unsuccessful outcome of the London negotiations on resolving the conflict with Russia.
“Ukrainian officials said they are concerned that Trump, who has repeatedly expressed his dislike for Zelensky, may blame Kyiv for the collapse of the negotiations and withdraw further military assistance,” the article states.
According to the publication, Trump is becoming increasingly frustrated and is blaming Zelensky for rejecting the U.S. peace plan.
As a reminder, yesterday the U.S. President criticized President Volodymyr Zelensky after the breakdown of the talks, accusing him of prolonging the war.
Trump confirmed that, under the U.S. plan to resolve the Russia–Ukraine war, Washington did not ask Kyiv to recognize Crimea as Russian. However, he indicated that the main obstacle to ending the war is currently “a man without cards to play” — referring to Zelensky.
Earlier, media reports indicated that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio declined to attend the London negotiationsbecause of Zelensky’s rejection of White House proposals regarding the annexed Crimea.
