Ukraine has become the largest buyer of weapons in Germany, which is breaking records in arms exports.
This information reported according to Spiegel.
In the first nine months of this year, Germany exported weapons worth 8.76 billion euros (compared to 8.35 billion euros for the entire previous year).
More than one-third of this amount went to Ukraine (3.3 billion euros). The second-largest recipient with just over a billion euros in volume is Hungary, followed by the United States with 467 million euros.
Only in 2021, the total German military exports were higher, at 9.35 billion euros. However, it is possible that this year’s record will be surpassed.
