November 9, 2023‘Ukraine ‘in every respect not ready’ for the start of negotiations on joining the EU’ – Prime Minister of Hungary says
November 10, 2023Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Kyiv has conducted procurements through the Prozorro system for road repairs and maintenance, amounting to 5.4 billion Ukrainian hryvnias.
This information was reported by the Dozorro project.
Most of the roadwork procurements were announced competitively, with only five contracts signed outside of the Prozorro system. However, 80% of the completed procurements had only one participant.
The largest portion of roadwork orders was placed by “Kyivavtodor” and its subordinate enterprises, totaling 5.2 billion Ukrainian hryvnias (approximately 135.2 million euros). For example, the tender for the repair of Hnata Khotkevych Street in the Desniansky District, valued at 14 million hryvnias (around 364,000 euros), saw competition from seven companies.
Some notable road repair projects in Kyiv include:
- Reconstruction of the transport interchange at the intersection of Bohatyrska and Polyarna Streets in the Obolonsky District, costing nearly 1.3 billion hryvnias (LLC “Avtomahistral-Yug”).
- Major repair of the section of the Ring Road from the Zhuliany overpass to the turn to Vishneve, amounting to 970 million hryvnias (LLC “Onur Konstruktsion Interneshnl”).
- Reconstruction at the intersection of Dehtiarivska and Dovzhenko Streets, with a budget of 920 million hryvnias (LLC “Rostdorstroy”). This is the location where the Dehtiarivsky overpass collapsed on September 30.
In addition to street repairs, there are also asphalt renovations taking place in courtyards and between city blocks. As of February 24, 2022, 271 contracts worth almost 286 million hryvnias have been disclosed on Prozorro. More information about the roadwork can be found by following the provided link.
Some procurements are still ongoing in various districts, with 30 orders worth 26.7 million hryvnias. The largest allocation for road repairs within courtyards is planned for Darnytsky District (61.1 million hryvnias) and Holosiivsky District (59.5 million hryvnias), while the smallest is for Pechersk District (1.3 million hryvnias).
