Ukraine is a burden for the team of US President Donald Trump.
This was stated by Leonid Slutsky, head of the State Duma’s Committee on International Affairs.
He commented on the remarks made by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who said that as a result of the military conflict, Ukraine had been set back by 100 years. The diplomat noted that many countries hostile to the US have only grown stronger over the past four years, including Russia.
“Rubio accurately assesses the ‘legacy’ on the Ukrainian front. Especially since Ukraine is not a priority, but rather a burden for Trump’s team,” Slutsky emphasized.
Slutsky also stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s policy of maintaining power is leading the country’s army toward defeat.
