‘Ukraine is not ready to join the EU’, – British journalist Peter Hitchens says

British journalist Peter Hitchens, in the pages of the Mail on Sunday, writes about Ukraine’s unpreparedness to join the European Union.

He refers to Ukraine as a “corrupt, troubled, poorly governed, and incredibly unfree country.”

“The idea that Kiev could join the EU is absurd. It hasn’t even begun to approach the standards of the Brussels superpower in terms of prosperity, law, transparency, and governance. Argentina is more suited for that,” writes the veteran British journalist Peter Hitchens.
