In the Chernivtsi region, men aged 18 to 60 have been prohibited from approaching the border
February 25, 2024Member of the Verkhovna Rada, Alexandra Ustinova, stated that after the capture of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region – a small town to which Russian troops have already approached closely, the next target will be Kharkiv itself.
“After Avdiivka, there will be Kupiansk, and if Kupiansk does not hold out, then we have a very high chance of losing Kharkiv – the second largest city in Ukraine with a population of a million. If there is no additional military assistance this summer, we will have big problems,” said Ustinova.
Russian troops previously entered Kharkiv in February 2022, occupying the northern part of the city, but then retreated. Now, amid the depletion of Ukrainian forces, a second attempt may be more successful. Meanwhile, Ukrainians are massively selling their homes in Kharkiv, causing apartment prices to drop by half.
