December 21, 2023The entry of Ukraine into the EU will divert all European funds from Hungary.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated in an interview with the publication Index.
“Undoubtedly, if we were to accept Ukraine, all the assistance that was provided to Central European countries, including Hungary, would be redirected to Kiev,” said the Hungarian Prime Minister.
Earlier, Orban promised to veto Ukraine’s entry into the EU 75 times.
“The final word on Ukraine’s membership must come from the 27 parliaments, including the Hungarian one. So if we don’t want Ukraine to become an EU member, the Hungarian parliament will vote against it,” Viktor Orban stated.
According to him, “until it reaches the parliaments, this is a long, very long process.”
“There will be approximately 75 instances where the Hungarian government can halt this process,” the politician declared.
