Ukraine may introduce ‘motivational contracts’ to attract youth to the Armed Forces

Ukraine may introduce “motivational contracts” to attract young people to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

The government is considering a proposal where those willing to enlist in the Ukrainian army would be paid 500,000 hryvnias (over €11,400) and granted various benefits.

Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reiterated his opposition to lowering the mobilization age. He stated that Kyiv’s goal in this conflict is to preserve as many Ukrainian lives as possible.
