Ukraine will not be accepted into NATO now or in the coming years, – The White House

Ukraine will not be admitted to NATO neither now nor in the coming years.

This was stated by the Special Assistant to the President of the United States, Thomas Wright.

“As Ukraine is currently in the midst of war, we will be able to take steps to strengthen its defense and security here and now, as well as in the coming years. When the time comes for Ukraine to join, it will be in a stronger position,” said Wright.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that Ukraine will not receive an invitation to join the Alliance at the summit in July.
