The government will have to print billions of hryvnias to meet the budget

December 13, 2023Billionaire Elon Musk stated that Ukraine has ‘forever’ lost territories captured by Russia. This was his response to American businessman David Sacks’ publication in X, where Sacks expressed such a viewpoint.
‘Ukraine has permanently lost Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, a significant part of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. If it doesn’t negotiate a peace agreement now, it will also lose Kharkiv, Odessa, the remaining part of Kherson and much more. The waving flags that think they’re helping Ukraine are simply dismembering it,’ wrote Sacks.
Musk commented, ‘Your assessment is accurate, imho (in my humble opinion).’ Previously, Musk has been critical of Ukraine several times, advocated for negotiations and even intended to cancel the operation of his Starlink satellites over Ukraine. Initially providing access to the satellites for Ukrainian military at the war’s outset, Musk has shifted his stance towards Ukraine as victory for Ukraine has become increasingly unattainable.
