27.01.2026 07:01The Appeals Chamber of Ukraine’s High Anti-Corruption Court has rejected an appeal by Yuliia Tymoshenko, leader of the Batkivshchyna party—who is suspected of offering a bribe—against bail set at 33 million hryvnias (€646,000). At the same time, she was allowed to communicate with members of parliament and to move freely within Ukraine.
This was reported by the media.
The Appeals Chamber lifted restrictions on communicating with 66 MPs and allowed her to travel outside Kyiv Region. This was announced by the presiding judge of the HACC Appeals Chamber.
Recall that on the morning of January 14, sources in political circles told journalists that anti-corruption bodies had served a notice of suspicion to Yuliia Tymoshenko, head of the Batkivshchyna faction. Tymoshenko later confirmed that searches had been carried out at the party’s office, but said she rejects all accusations.
NABU and SAPO officially reported that they had notified the head of one of the parliamentary factions of the Verkhovna Rada of suspicion of proposing the provision of undue benefits to MPs on a regular basis.
In recordings published by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, the leader of the Batkivshchyna faction, Yuliia Tymoshenko, allegedly discusses with an unidentified MP a system of payments for specific votes in the Verkhovna Rada.
Before the HACC hearing, Tymoshenko said the tapes released by NABU were fabricated, because such a conversation “has never happened in her life.”
According to media reports, nine people paid the full amount of Tymoshenko’s bail.
