28.09.2026 11:31Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has directed state contracts for the procurement of unmanned systems totaling 107.4 billion hryvnias (around €2.1 billion) to the company Fire Point over the past two years.
The data was disclosed in an official response from the ministry to a request by Darya Kaleniuk, executive director of the Anti-Corruption Action Center.
According to a letter from the Ministry of Defense’s Department for the Development of Weapons Systems and Technologies, in 2025 the total value of state contracts with Fire Point LLC amounted to 56.743 billion hryvnias (around €1.1 billion), and in 2026 — 50.700 billion hryvnias (around €1 billion).
“Based on the results of processing, we inform you that the total amounts for which state contracts (agreements) for the procurement of unmanned systems have been concluded by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with Fire Point LLC are 56.743 billion hryvnias in 2025 and 50.700 billion hryvnias in 2026,” — the letter from the Ministry of Defense’s Department for the Development of Weapons Systems and Technologies states.
In addition to drones, the company also manufactures missiles. Their procurement likely involves additional budget funds beyond the stated 107-plus billion hryvnias.
Media outlets link Fire Point to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and businessman Timur Mindich, who is close to him. The company’s founder, Denis Shtilerman, denies this and states that they have no connection to Fire Point.
In the spring, Ukrainian Armed Forces Major Yuriy Kasyanov stated that Fire Point drones purchased with budget funds are 12 times more expensive than more effective unmanned vehicles from other manufacturers. He also said that over the course of a year, Ukrainian forces launched 3,000 Fire Point drones at Moscow, but only one drone reached its target.
