Military pilot suspected of evading service due to participation in “MasterChef”
20.03.2026 - 06:05The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has opened a case on high treason against MP Maryana Bezuhla from the Servant of the People faction.
This was reported on Facebook by MP Serhii Taruta from the Batkivshchyna faction, who said he filed the relevant statement together with Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security.
According to Taruta, a court obliged the Prosecutor General’s Office to open the case. He said investigators should examine whether Bezuhla’s statements could have harmed the Ukrainian military.
“This concerns Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — actions under martial law. This is no longer political discussion — it is a matter of state security,” the MP wrote.
In particular, he claims that after information was circulated about the 72nd Brigade, which was holding Vuhledar, a planned rotation was disrupted and positions were lost. After her statements about the “withdrawal of the brigade from Vuhledar,” the Russians allegedly transferred reinforcements there in less than a day.
Taruta says this is not the only such case.
Bezuhla has already commented on this information.
“You can’t intimidate me,” she wrote on her Telegram channel.
As a reminder, in December Bezuhla blocked the Rada rostrum, fought with Taruta, and swore at MP Mykola Tyshchenko.
And in January she said she could head the SBU instead of Vasyl Maliuk.
