Ukrainian border guards caught an Odessa resident wearing a latex mask who was attempting to swim to Moldova

Ukrainian border guards have detained a man wearing a latex mask who attempted to flee to Moldova.

This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

It is claimed that a resident of Odessa planned to swim across the Turunchuk River and then the Dniester, for which he dressed in a wetsuit.

The Odessa resident apparently wore the mask to avoid being recognized by surveillance cameras.

“The violator prepared for the ‘journey’ thoroughly: he took a monocular and a thermos bag, in which he put a knife, a flashlight, and gloves,” added the State Border Guard Service.

It is worth reminding that recently Ukrainian border guards detained five men who were attempting to swim across the Dniester to reach Moldova. Protocols for administrative offenses were drawn up against the men, and the cases were sent to court.
