Ukrainian border guards detained 17 men who attempted to illegally cross into Hungary

Officers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine detained 17 men who attempted to illegally cross into Hungary. They were taken off a minibus, each having paid between $3,000 and $12,000 for the passage.

This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

“200 meters from the border, border guards stopped a minibus carrying 17 men from different regions of Ukraine. It turned out that the passengers were attempting to illegally leave the country, having paid from $3,000 to $12,000 for the journey. The detainees were brought to the border unit to draw up administrative protocols, and the circle of all involved is being established,” the statement said.

It is worth noting that on June 21, Ukrainian border guards caught 47 people attempting to flee to Moldova. In the area of Obzhyly (Ukraine) – Plot (Moldova), five vehicles were found (four minibuses and one “escort vehicle”).

Previously, a video surfaced of the detention of 40 Ukrainians from 11 regions at the border with Hungary. It was reported that border guards stopped two minibuses carrying 38 men.

Additionally, photos and videos of more than 30 draft dodgers crammed into one minibus at the border with Romania have been published online.
