Ukrainian deputy announces total mobilization and complete closure of the country

Oleg Dunda, a deputy of the presidential faction “Servant of the People,” stated that Ukraine is already moving towards total mobilization. To achieve this, it is necessary to completely close the entire country.

“We are moving step by step towards total mobilization. It will involve practically closing the country, closing the economy and when the economy is focused on producing its own goods. Accordingly, when we produce more products independently, then there will be funds available for financing the armed forces,” Dunda said.

By closing the entire country, Dunda meant a complete restriction on the import of foreign goods. However, he did not explain how a country at war would be able to produce the entire range of consumer goods, from household chemicals to automobiles. It is worth noting that the Ukrainian economy is already practically non-functional and survives on Western assistance. Additionally, a lot of labor force will be needed for this, which means that women will also need to be prohibited from leaving the country.
