05.10.2026 10:33Polish police, working jointly with customs and tax service officers, shut down an illegal gambling operation in Warsaw and detained a 31-year-old Ukrainian national.
This was reported by Yevropeyska Pravda, citing RMF24.
The operation took place at a premises located in a commercial pavilion in the Wola district. During the raid, police and tax officers seized 6 gaming machines that lacked the required licenses, 50 grams of amphetamine, and 6,000 zlotys in cash.
The detained Ukrainian has been charged with conducting gambling in the form of unregistered games on gaming machines without a license and a valid permit for the purpose of financial gain. In addition, he faces charges of possessing a significant quantity of narcotics.
The case is being handled by the District Prosecutor’s Office of Warsaw-Wola.
Previously, a counterfeiter from Ukraine and his Russian accomplice were detained in Poland. In March, a criminal group that had printed EUR 2 million in counterfeit banknotes was uncovered in Romania.
