Ukrainian military cannot build defensive fortifications on the southern front

Problems with building fortifications have arisen on the southern front in the Zaporizhzhia region. Local authorities are reluctant to provide agricultural machinery to the military because they fear it will be damaged during combat operations. Soldiers from the 24th Assault Brigade reported this.

In recent days, it has become known that there is a threat of Russia’s advance specifically in the Zaporizhzhia direction. Therefore, the army is requesting tractors from local authorities to construct a defensive line in the rear, but nobody is providing anything because they are concerned about the possibility of the tractors being destroyed.

According to Ukrainian military sources, Russia has amassed tens of thousands of reservists, as well as a lot of armored vehicles, in the Zaporizhzhia region near the settlement of Rabotyne. Apparently, an offensive operation is being prepared there. Last summer, active combat operations took place in this settlement, but from the Ukrainian side. However, Kiev was unable to advance further than a few kilometers. Nonetheless, it suffered significant losses in soldiers and equipment.
