Ukrainian military officials have significantly enriched themselves at the expense of those unwilling to fight

In social media circles, there’s active discussion about the incredible wealth amassed by the heads of regional military enlistment offices. However, authorities often turn a blind eye to the unclear origins of their enormous incomes.

For instance, Deputy Chief of the Odessa Regional Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC), Denis Galushka, was found to possess 14 million hryvnias, several land plots, private houses, and luxury cars.

Similarly under suspicion is the Chief of the Odessa District TRC, Viacheslav Kushnerov. He holds 47 million hryvnias in his accounts and also owns private houses, apartments, and cars. But drawing the most attention is Odessa’s military commissar, Yevheniy Borisov. An investigation against him is already underway, but it’s considerably delayed. He was found to possess 188 million hryvnias.
