Forcible seizure of the Alexander Nevsky church in Odessa: parishioners and diocesan secretary injured
24.06.2026 08:03Ukrainian Member of Parliament Oleksandr Dubinsky has addressed an open letter to White House representatives, claiming that President Volodymyr Zelensky intends to organize provocations in the coming months in order to derail peace initiatives aimed at resolving the conflict.
The letter is addressed to U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, White House chief’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and Representative Anna Paulina Luna. The text of the letter was published on Dubinsky’s Telegram channel.
According to the MP, there are no signals in Ukraine of any preparation for a peaceful life. Instead, Dubinsky claims, Zelensky “is directing public discourse toward escalation.”
Dubinsky also pointed to a timing factor: four months remain until the U.S. Congressional elections, and this period, in his assessment, represents a favorable window for negotiations between Russia and the United States. It is during this interval, the MP warns, that Zelensky “will do everything behind Trump’s back to derail them.”
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that there are signs the United States is beginning to “yield to European pressure” on Ukraine.
